Cache Appoints Aaron White and Shang Chou to Lead Investor and Institutional Solutions

Cache, a fintech firm offering tools for managing concentrated stock positions, has announced that Aaron White, CFP, and Shang Chou, CQF, joined its leadership team. White will serve as Head of Investor Solutions, while Chou will oversee Institutional Solutions, as the company expands its exchange fund platform.

Cache Exchange Funds allow investors to diversify single-stock portfolios without realizing immediate capital gains. The firm, which launched its first fund in March 2024, recently surpassed $300 million in assets under management and employs 14 professionals.

Its flagship exchange funds allow shareholders to pool concentrated positions into a diversified vehicle, thereby deferring capital gains and reducing risk exposure.

The company said the new leadership appointments will support continued growth across both retail and institutional channels. It plans to scale product availability and deepen engagement with advisors as interest in equity concentration solutions continues to grow.

Cache is based in the United States and works with individual investors, RIAs, and family offices. Its growth reflects increasing demand for customized tax-aware investment structures, particularly among tech professionals and founders.

White most recently served as Chief Growth Officer at Adero Partners, a registered investment advisor with $4.5 billion in assets. There, he advised tech executives, venture capitalists, and private equity managers on managing concentrated stock portfolios. His background also includes experience in private investments and 409A valuation services at a regional accounting firm.

At Cache, White will lead product development for individual investors and high-net-worth clients. His role includes one-on-one educational sessions with clients seeking to understand the tax and liquidity implications of equity concentration.

Chou brings experience from multiple investment firms. Most recently, he was Chief Revenue Officer at Tema ETFs, where he focused on developing active equity solutions for advisors, family offices, and individuals. Before that, he was Managing Director at Simplify Asset Management, where he helped launch more than two dozen ETFs and scaled the firm past $5 billion in assets.

In his new role, Chou will be responsible for institutional distribution, including partnerships with RIAs, broker-dealers, and other intermediaries. He will also focus on expanding access to Cache’s exchange fund solutions across the advisor channel.
