More than 250 forex professionals gathered in Limassol, Cyprus, on April 3 for Vision Forex Forum 2025, an event organized by QUBE Events and hosted at the Four Seasons Hotel. The forum brought together industry leaders to exchange insights on compliance, trading technology, marketing, branding, talent, and growth.
In an interview with FinanceFeeds during the event, Lilly Pavlou, Executive Director at QUBE Events, discussed the structure behind Vision, her team’s approach to curating communities, and QUBE’s expansion into new global markets.
“We always say our event has three pillars,” Pavlou said. “The first is content. When we put the agenda together, we ensure there is a balanced mix of panel discussions and keynotes. Each session must pass two filters. Is it practical? And is it valuable?”
She explained that QUBE expects more than surface-level discussions. “When speakers are preparing, I ask them what we cannot Google or find on YouTube. We want insights into what is happening now and what may happen next. That makes it real and practical.”
According to Pavlou, the focus on useful, forward-looking content is a central point of differentiation. “We put a lot of thought and preparation into the content. That is where we stand out.”
Why Curation, Community, and Content Still Matter
The second pillar, she said, is business development. “We offer one-to-one meetings. Our sponsors receive personalized itineraries. We work with them to identify their key target accounts.”
Pavlou said this goes beyond traditional networking. “We focus on creating opportunities for purposeful engagement. Whether it is a coffee break or lunch seating, we design the environment to help people connect in a natural way.”
The third pillar is the event environment itself. “We always use the best venues available and make sure everything is included. When people arrive, they pick up their badge and they are ready. We want them to focus on the experience, not logistics.”
She described how structure underpins every part of the event. “We are a process-driven company. The team follows a clear approach for promoting the forum, registering participants, and arranging the sessions. Everything flows naturally.”
This level of planning, she said, creates comfort and efficiency for attendees. “You feel like you are in the right place. People know where they are going. They know which meetings they are attending and what sessions are next. That comes down to the team.”
Pavlou said the team is QUBE’s greatest asset. “If you asked me what makes the biggest difference, it is our team. They are the backbone of the experience. They are the reason the event feels coordinated, curated, and alive.”
Next Up: Barcelona, Spain
Vision Forex Forum is part of a growing series of global events under the QUBE banner. In the last year, QUBE expanded to host forums in cities not traditionally associated with forex, including Austin and Barcelona. Pavlou said the decision to enter these markets came from observing global shifts in innovation.
“When we look at new locations, we ask where innovation is happening. That is the most important factor,” she said. “Barcelona is a major fintech hub in Europe. A lot of technology companies are there. It is a vibrant city with great energy. That plays into our decision-making.”
Austin, Texas, came into the picture through a direct client conversation. “I was sitting in my office when a client called and said we should be in Austin. I asked if he was sure. He said yes. I said let’s do it, and we did.”
Pavlou described the U.S. expansion as a leap that paid off. “Austin was incredible. It is a massive market, and the interest in fintech and digital assets is strong. There is real momentum there.”
She said her team saw the same level of engagement and openness as in their European events. “We learned a lot. We also had the chance to share what is happening in Europe. It was an exchange. That is what makes it exciting.”
Asked whether QUBE will return to the U.S., she said yes. “If you want to explore the American market, Austin is a great starting point. It is where a lot of innovation is happening, and we will be there to support you.”
QUBE to Hold Events in LATAM and APAC
QUBE’s international expansion continues in 2026. The company is preparing to launch new events in Latin America and Asia-Pacific.
“Next year we are going into LATAM and APAC,” Pavlou said. “We see those regions as centers of innovation. Emerging markets often adopt new technology faster than more established markets. That is why we want to be there.”
She explained that QUBE’s approach will remain consistent across new geographies. “We are building communities around the world. People who attend an event in Europe will find the same format and the same support in Asia or Latin America.”
Pavlou said the decision to enter these regions was shaped by participant feedback. “People who joined us in Cyprus or Malta or Austin want to explore new markets. They know the QUBE team and what to expect. We want to meet them where they are going.”
When asked which future event she is most excited about, she hesitated to name one. “We are proud of every event. Each one has its own energy. Barcelona is new and exciting. The U.S. surprised me in the best way.”
She said the American forum helped her team build new relationships and bring in different perspectives. “Sometimes we think the U.S. is far. But when we got there, we saw the value immediately. We connected. We exchanged ideas. It was incredible.”
Still, she pointed to Austin as a strategic gateway. “If you have the chance to attend a forum in the U.S., Austin is the one. It is a strong market and a great place to build your presence.”
Following the Vision Forex Forum, Pavlou shared a closing message with her network. “I’m beyond proud of the QUBE Events team for delivering another outstanding forum, this time dedicated to the dynamic world of forex. Limassol continues to be a key hub for financial services, and it was the perfect setting for engaging discussions, valuable networking, and forward-thinking strategies.”
QUBE’s next event, the NextGen Payments & RegTech Forum, takes place on 7 May 2025 in Barcelona. As the company moves into new regions, the focus remains on content that matters, communities that last, and platforms that work.
