Revolut Enters Consumer Telecommunications in the UK and Germany

Revolut has announced that it will launch mobile plans, beginning in the UK and Germany, in a direct move into consumer telecommunications. The new offering will include unlimited calls, texts, and data domestically, along with a 20GB roaming allowance across Europe and the United States, without fixed contract requirements.

The launch follows strong demand for Revolut’s eSIM data plans, which became available in 2024. Customers created millions of data plans for use in over 100 countries, making eSIM the company’s most-used product outside of banking.

Revolut’s Mobile Plans to Debut at £12.50 per Month

Customers can now join a waitlist for Mobile Plans, which will debut at a promotional rate of £12.50 per month. The service will be integrated into the Revolut app, allowing users to choose or port a number, manage data, and track usage within the interface. Plan payments can be made using RevPoints, the company’s in-app loyalty program that rewards purchases.

It’s yet another step for Revolut into the consumer telecommunications arena where innovation is desperately overdue and we look forward to bringing this update to consumers in more markets soon.”

The new product will operate with local numbers and will support number portability. The company has not yet disclosed its network partners. The initiative expands Revolut’s non-financial services portfolio, which includes booking travel, accessing airport lounges, and using eSIM connectivity.

Revolut’s travel and lifestyle features include access to over 1.9 million accommodations and 300,000 activities through the app. Depending on their plan, customers may also access RevPoints, use eSIM in over 100 countries, and enter select airport lounges. Mobile Plans will extend Revolut’s positioning as a multi-service app by adding telecom to its existing travel and financial ecosystem.
