TradingBlock Launches “My IPO” Platform for Retail Investor Access

TradingBlock has announced the launch of My IPO, a new platform designed to give individual investors immediate access to initial public offerings and other public offerings, including through retirement accounts. The platform integrates directly with a clearing firm, allowing users to trade shares as soon as they become available, bypassing traditional delays related to transfer agent processing.

The company stated that My IPO simplifies participation in offerings by reducing paperwork and lowering transaction costs. Investors can use traditional brokerage accounts or retirement vehicles such as Traditional, Roth, and SEP IRAs. By streamlining post-offering share availability, TradingBlock removes a key barrier that has historically limited retail investor participation in IPOs.

“Investing in IPOs should not be exclusive to the wealthy”

Joel Vanderhoof, President of My IPO Investment Banking, commented, “Investing in IPOs should not be exclusive to the wealthy or those who have privileged access to such offerings. My IPO levels the playing field and allows investors of all kinds to purchase shares of some of the most exciting companies going public. The launch of this unique platform is yet another sign of TradingBlock’s commitment to providing equal access to wealth creation tools.”

My IPO offers investors access to Regulation A+ offerings, which allow companies to market shares to both accredited and non-accredited investors without following the full IPO process. TradingBlock positioned the product as a way to lower thresholds and expand retail investor involvement in early-stage public market activity.

Vanderhoof added, “By giving everyday investors the tools and opportunities to participate in offerings that were previously out of reach, we are redefining the investment landscape. My IPO is a game changer.”

The release of My IPO follows several recent product introductions from TradingBlock. In April, the company rolled out a new customizable trading dashboard and mobile application aimed at individual traders. That launch was accompanied by the TradingBlock Learning Hub, which provides educational resources for investors interested in building their knowledge of trading, particularly in options.

Founded in 2003 and based in Chicago, TradingBlock operates as a FINRA-member broker-dealer offering brokerage and trading technology solutions for retail traders, hedge funds, RIAs, and small institutions. The firm provides tools to support complex trading strategies, with a focus on customization and integration of options trading.

TradingBlock’s strategy continues to revolve around bringing features previously reserved for institutional clients to the retail market. My IPO represents the firm’s latest step in this direction, as it attempts to create a more direct path for ordinary investors to engage in public market offerings without legacy intermediaries or access restrictions.

The platform is available at MyIPO.com, where investors can register to view and access upcoming offerings. Companies interested in raising capital through the platform can contact Joel Vanderhoof directly.
